Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation. Malts - Premium Two-Row (Metcalf & Kendall varieties), Munich, Simpson's Light Crystal Hops - 4+lbs/BBL: Bittering — Warrior, Columbus; Late Kettle — Cascade, Centennial; Dry Hops — Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe

It's perfect for me, to say the least. By far, my favorite in recent tastes. Just like people have said before me; it has the perfectly blended hints of grapefruit, orange, and a little pine. It goes down smooth with all the right amounts of bitterness. it's a "refreshing" double ipa, not too thick. Watch out because it will sneak up on you. I have nothing bad to say about this.

650 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg, Germany. ABV is 9.5%. Golden colour, moderate white head, Strong aroma of piney and resinous American hops, some fruity notes too. Sweet and distinctly hoppy flavour throughout, with floral, fruity and piney notes. Aggressive bitter finish.

Bottle shared with Douberd. Clear yellow, lacing off white foam head. Hoppy aroma, some citrus tones, grapefruit also. Good bitter taste, again grapefruit, citrus notes. Lasing aftertaste. (Arnhem 201502)

They keep getting better and better! HUGE thanks to Slowrunner77 for this, my first ever Firestone Walker beer. I cannot wait to try the others. This beer was big and hoppy - nicely balanced with the malt. Grapefruit in aroma and flavor. No heat at over 9%, but it sneaks up on you. WONDERFUL BEER! Many thanks!!!

A clear-ish, deep copper body, with a fluffy white head that leaves some pretty good lace. Aromas of piney, and lemon citrus hops with biscuit and caramel malt notes. Subdued malt sweetness with cereal and honey, a bold hop bitterness throughout the taste. Mouthfeel is 'light' for the style, but i like how easy it goes down.A very nice, well-rounded IIPA. High ABV is well hidden, but you can feel it pretty quick. Overall a really nice brew.

Pours a clear amber color with foamy off white head. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, resinous hops and sweet malts. Juicy, citrus hop flavor with a sweet maltiness. Drying, but pleasant bitter hop finish. Mouthfeel is full and perfectly carbonated. Alcohol is undetectable. If resinous DIPA's are your thing, you owe it to yourself to try this one.

Looks pretty good for a while. Clear copper colour with a decent size head but not much lace. Smell is fruity, pine and floral. Taste is piney, grapefruit, a hint of pineapple and floral. Mouth is medium and smooth. Expected a fuller mouthfeel considering the excellent full flavour. One more before bed I think.

Pours copper with perfect clarity and a small had that leaves thick lacing. The aroma boasts bright evergreen notes; some caramel and grapefruit also noted (and enjoyed.). Lots of malt to [sort of] balance lots of hops flavor. Very bitter though not extreme. Shines delicious in a category with tough competition. Full bodied and surprisingly smooth. Great beer. I just keep buying it.

Enjoyed this on tap a few times during a visit to Las Vegas (TODD English Pub). On tap this is a fantastic DIPA, rivaling Abrasive. Tons of citrus and tropical fruits, pine, light caramel malt and bitterness. Superb! Recently picked up a bottle (couldn't find a date on it) that was nowhere near as good as on tap--hops seemed to have faded away almost entirely. Make sure, if buying a bottle, that you are getting it fresh.

From Premier Gourmet (Kenmore, NY) in a bomber. Medium gold pour with a rocky white head. Nice lacing and a ring, too. Solid aroma of hop, citrus, pine, and malt. Rich, smooth mouthfeel, almost creamy. Palate was treated to hops, a generous pine resin component, malt, and grapefruit. Peppery and sweet finish. Marvelous.

Stinging hop nose on a murky light gold beer. Smooth, boozy mouthfeel. Flavor is a bit like the aroma, stinging with the hop and alcohol content. Great smell, great taste, light enough to drink a couple, good work.
