On tap at Jack's in SF. Aroma is dark raspberries, appearance is a dark, plum-like clearness with decent carbonation and conditioning. Mouthfeel was a bit harsh, like drinking seltzer water. Flavor was lightly fruited, malty, clean and smooth. A very enjoyable beer.

Wonderful... surprised that it was not a wheat beer like most raspberry/fruit beers are. Overall well blended and subtle raspberry aftertaste that's combined with a nice dark ale. Highly recomended. Tried this one on the Embarcadero in San Francisco

I have yet to find this any place other than a beer pub in San Francisco w/over a hundred beers on tap. I visited several times attempting to sample my way through all 100 varieties, but once I tried El Toro's Black Raspberry I was hooked and stayed with it. It is not overly sweet. The taste is that of any other ale, only with an aroma of ripe raspberries. Like, Pyramid's Apricot Ale, only berry.
