“Sci-Fi Soldier” is an English-Style Coffee Porter, and we’re jazzed about it. Some might say we’re jamming on it. Available on Cask via Hand-pump in the taproom, and normal-human-levels of carbonation elsewhere on draft and in the can. Mashed with a base of Riverbend Malt Southern Select and a medley of English Roasted Malt, hit very aggressively with Target hops on the hot side, fermented low and slow with our Pub Ale yeast, and spunded for 100% natural carbonation on Cask, before being bumped up to normal carbonation levels for draft and cans. THEEEEEN, we had to do it to ‘em and dosed in a hefty amount of house-processed high-concentrate Cold Brew of some very choice Dark Roast beans from our coffee-soul-mates Cooperative Coffee (this time around we chose a fresh lot of Peru Flor de Selva and it ruuules!).

Taps opaque coffee with a good tan head that creates heavy lacing. Aroma furnishes roast malt, coffee and toffee tones. Flavor yields roast malt, quality coffee, woody and toffee tones. Texture brings decent body and fizz. Someday we will study war no more.
