Clear dark brown, dark ruby with brown foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is bittersweet, caramel and toffee. Taste is bit sweet, again caramel, but also sweetened coffee. Short aftertaste. (Budapest 201302)

Never heard of this one before, but picked it up anyway. Poured fairly dark with strong flavours. You can definitely taste the alcohol content in this one.

Hard to think that this was found at a Grocery Outlet. They are known to carrry quality beer from time to time (it's awful hit & miss) but there are times when you can strike gold, like this time with Dreher. Coming all the way over from Hungary, this dark beer is very good. It's almost like a cousin to a stout in many areas like the aroma, the appearance and flavor. Definitely a strong dark beer, not sure why it's only been reviewed just once before this review. A really great beer.

Some kinda good brew that is schartz in color, but more of a Northern Euro lager on steroids then a bock. The full body, strong hop and dark malt flavors, the bottles I had were just wonderful. If this bier was a local, it would be way up on my list of daily drinkers. on the web at www.dreher.hu As noted in my listing of the brew, anyone anywhere would be happy to call this their own. PS-word is the 5.2 classic is a killer helles style bier as well.
