22oz bomber courtesy of oRos. It pours with a deep dark body that supports a mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, roasted malts, dark roasted malts, a good dose of chocolate and a mild toffee like note. Behind those aromatics I find a thin layer of pine and citrus like hops. The taste is similar with malts, roasted malts, some dark roasted malts and chocolate brownie. Around the edges are notes of grapefruit and pine hoppiness. It seems to sweeten some into the finish with sweet malts lined with molasses. Nice stuff but the malts and chocolate are a bit too far forward and the hops a little too subdued for my Black IPA tastes. Nice nonetheless.
