Not all rye ales are created equal, and this is one of the ones that excelled in the creation department. The pour is rust red with an off-white creamy head. The aroma is rye, spice, and weak citrus. The flavour is dominated by the spicy rye notes and caramel with a pleasant citrusy finish.

Beer pours a hazed copper colour with a genertous ran cap that lasts a while. Aroma is rye, grains, caramel, and spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is spicy rye with hints of caramel and pepper in the mix. Best Double TRouble brew yet. -

Pours a huge frothy off white head and has a hazy coppery/brown appearance. Aromas of rye and barley malts, some hints of caramel and toffee as well as earthy/floral hops. Flavours of roasted and caramel malts. Nice crisp hoppiness to balance things out. Rye and barley malts mainly in the finish. Creamy and slick mouthfeel, well balanced. Really good, not too bitter and easy to drink.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a big warm cap, great retention and lots of fluffy thick and creamy lace. Rye malt nose with some spices and hints of farm smell. Medium-bodied with a slick mouthfeel. The taste is well-balanced between the hoppy bitterness of grass and the roasted-nutty malts. Their third brew and the best so far. A very nice roasted rye pale ale.
