Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

I tried this beer on March 7, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a solid reddish-brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma was primarily grassy with a little malt. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, but highly carbonated. The flavour was grassy, a little malt, and a little sourness. Definitely better than a Corona or a Tecate.

A clear rust colored pour that is topped with a very thin white film. Lots of effervescence leading nowhere. Aroma is mainly bread and toffee with hints of vomit and soap in the background. Not appealing. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Flavor is better than the smell. Mild caramel and bready notes giving way to a crisp bitter finish. Still not a very good beer.

"Rich, full-bodied"? Well, it is when compared to Corona. Clear copper pour, modest white head, ample carbonation. Grainy aroma, average mouthfeel. Some caramel flavour, although it was tainted because the bartender had jammed a wedge of lime into the bottle neck. Drinkable but not a go-to.

Now this is one fine beer when it's served in a frosty ice cold beer mug. My local Mexican restaurant serves it this way. And I always order two because the first one is always drank " Bottoms Up " !

Poured a dark amber colour with an off-white/brownish colour. Aromas are of caramel, hops, and spices, although hops are well blended. Has a bit of a roasted malt/caramel flavour to it. Not too bad for a mass produced import.

Pours a clear light amber with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. The aroma is of grain, slight caramel, and some metallic aromas. The taste is pretty much the same with a mild bitterness on the palate with each sip. The mouthfeel is crips and clean with a low level of carbonation.

The best Mexican beer I've had to date. This is my go-to at the local Buffalo Wild Wings (tells you how poor their beer selection is) on the rare occasion I'm stuck going there with friends. A fairly plain but drinkable amber lager.

It pours copper and dark amber with a thick white head and some lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus blend, bitterness, and peppers and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, roasted nuts, bitterness, and spiciness. Excellent .. one of the better Mexican beers..

330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Copper to amber colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, some fruit, grass and caramel. The flavour is at least more malty than the Especial, a little fruit and caramel again, but is otherwise rather bland and boring, with minimal hops.

I tried this a Rusch's in Hamilton while waiting to go to a flim. poured a clear amber with a small head an visible carbonation. There was almost no aroma. perhaps some mild malt. the mouthfeel was light with the carbonation catching the back of your mouth. The flavor was non decrepit. I found this to be nothing outstanding It is fine to drink along with snacks.

Overall a very mild beer in all aspects but still very drinkable and a decent option at a bar with nothing else good on tap. I don't drink cheap beer, but when I do it's Dos Equis.
