100% Columbus Hops, the color is similar to the IPA, although the high octane packs a punch with an aggressive hop aroma and citrus finish.

22oz bottle - Herring Creek beer tasting
The beer pours out a golden body, hazy with a 2" frothy head with really nice lacing left behind. Aroma is medium in intensity, very herbal and citrussy. Some sweet cake batter also creeps in, but mostly it's glorius hops. Flavor centers squarely on the balance of hops and malt, and it's does a bang up job of keeping both of these at arms length. Bready malts, grassy/herbal hops...just a touch of earthy/wet leaves. Very nice IPA. -

Aroma is strongly, if not seriously, hoppy with a nice undertone of grapefruit. It pours a clear, brownish amber with a fairly thick, fluffy and somewhat persistent off-white head that leaves minimal lacing. Flavor is fairly hoppy, somewhat but not nastily bitter, with hints of sour citrus and wood. Texture is rather smooth and just a little fizzy. Finish is hoppy and woody and does not last. Overall, a decent IPA.

A light amber colored beer with a small soapy/vreamy textured white head rising above. Not much hang time. But settles into a nice lacing of splotches of film aside the glass, independent of the thick ringlet. Very faint bread nose. The taste is a bolder citrus hops. But even that is less dominate than you’d find in similar IPAs. Overall very drinkable.

Sampled on draft at Tap Room, Seattle. Pours copper with a creamy white head and nice lace. Tons of citrus hop aroma. Slightly astringent. Nutty, ashy. Just a bit odd but the resinous finish is cool.

Hand bottle shared by Slob. Pour was amber-orange, good initial head, although it subsided quickly, but laced quite well. The aroma was bitter grassy, earthy, even herbal. The flavor followed the aroma and included some faint caramel and orangey notes. Mouthfeel was only moderately bodied, maybe a little past its prime, yet still a darned bitter and good IPA. Thank you, Bert!
