Growler from brewer - a deep ruby brown pour with a thick sustaining head and perfect lacing. Fresh black coffee in the first whiff then cocoa, toasted malts, and a touch of hops. Taste is rich and smooth with the coffee not overpowering but upfront. Then some cocoa, sweet malts, and a bit of hops in the end but not much. Very well done. Probably the best porter I've had. Wife loved it too and it was her first "dark beer." Will travel back to brewer to get more!
