Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
330 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original De Molen snifter a gushing and unfiltered hazy oak-burgundy coloured Bock with a generous three fingers tan and dense creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is toasted and caramel malts, riped dark fruits, plums, raisins, dried fruits, nuts. The flavour is caramel malts, aciditic fruits, citrus, spicy, licorice and noticeable peppery notes and surprising fruity hops. The mouthfeel is fulled, thick and smooth. This medium to full bodied Bock has a dry hoppy bitter finish and the expected warming effect. Quite away from the the Classical German Bock but the effort of its Nederlandse cousin is the try worth.
