    C: hazed gold, white head
    A: yeast, funk, grain, spices
    P: medium
F: light fruit notes (apricot, apple), yeast, grains
O: Typical Belgian blonde that could be easily confused with dozens of others

Clean blond body and some sudsy head but with basically zero retention - gone by the third sip. Aroma is of light malts and apple. Tart apple-like body, reminiscent of a cider with a minor hoppy finish. Very thin, much like the other DeKoninck brews. None are very impressive, but they aren't particularly awful either - average stuff. Not bad to drink but I won't be actively seeking it out.

Bottle at tasting at Chris Fischer’s (from Liars Club) house. Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a medium thick head with lots of lacing. It’s sweet and slightly spicy wtih some alcohol esters. Light bodied and dry.

Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is nuts, yeast, hops and some caramel. Flavour is fruits, yeast and some nuts. Quite typical De Koninck product. Some slight spicyness also show once it gets warmer.

Light yellow gold brew that produced a small ammount of head that retained its form the entire duration of the beer. Tiny floaties too. Aroma came across quite mild and pleasant aside from the obvious alcoholly smell which suprised me for such a mild beer; light yeast, banana and oranges. Taste was dissapointing with its sweet syrupy honey and banana flavour that I didn't really enjoy. Bored my mouth with its slight sour bitterness and empty dull finish. I was glad when my glass was empty.

Poured a clouded light orange with rust highlights. Small tight sticky cap. Good lacing to the glass. Nose is of musty-woodsy honey smells with light wisps of succulent over-ripe fruit. Prickly mouth feel from the ample carbonation. Up front we taste bready malts and some tangy hops...almost pilsner-like ...as this matures on the palate we get a flood of fruity esters ranging from pear cider to banana-treacle. The finish is clean and crisp , slightly fruity and with a drying bitterness. This is the second ale from this brewer I find to be quite drinkable.

Bought at the LCBO, part of 4 bottle package with a De Koninck glass. This one pours a pale amber colour with golden highlights. Not much head, nor retention, and a small light touch of lacing. The nose is a nice mix of fruity and caramel malts with notes of bread. Mild bitterness is found in the taste. The fruit is there too, like green apples and apricots, mainly in the finish. Lots of cereals and lightly bodied. Decent blonde, but missing some punch in the mouth.

Bottle: Poured a dark yellow color ale with a huge foamy white head with excellent retention. Aroma of nice lightly funky Belgian yeast with good sweet malt presence. Taste is quite refreshing with a nice dose of sweet malt and a light funky yeast presence at the end. Body is above average for the style and carbonation is excellent. A good example of a Belgian Pale Ale which seems underrated here.

An utterly savourless beer really. A cloudy golden colour, strong pilsner malt and yeast are the only things that make up this crappy aroma. I understand 'pilsner' carries a bad connotation in this part of Europe, but this beer is far from worthy of even the vague 'blonde'. Weak mouthfeel, this is a generally unfavourable beer by all standards.
