Can that pours a clean light-golden colour with a big frothy, almost creamy white cap that stays quite long and spreads thick foamy-creamy lacing. The nose is sweet with the malts giving a little cereal grain notes and hints of fruitiness. The taste shows rusty water and sweet generic malts. An ok night cap, but not a Maibock I would have again.

The beer pours a translucent gold colour with good effervescence, and with a generous bubbly off-white head that quickly disappears to a light film. The aroma was grains, alcohol, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was sweet and grainy with a definite alcohol presence and some old leathery notes. I'm quite surprised that D.A.B. would pass a beer like this off as a Maibock when it more closely resembles a beer like the Crest and Faxe 10% strong lagers. I rarely drain-pour a beer, and I can't remember the last time I did it, but add this beer to the short list of my drain-pours (I almost feel sorry for the drain).

Oh god was this shite vile. And foul. Sour and sweet at the same time. It get's a wee marginally better as you struggle through it, but not by much. Poor body. Cloying and thick. Absolutely terrible.
