Refreshing unfiltered wheat beer with a characteristic fruity aroma resulting from the special Hefe Weizen yeast strain that originates from the Weihenstephan monastery brewery. The presence of this special yeast in the beer provides useful vitamins and minerals and helps to retain freshness and full flavor in this "live" beer.

330 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Weizen tulip glass an unfiltered strong hazy amber-orange coloured Hefeweizen with a good two fingers slight beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and many micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is yeast, wheaty sweety malts, fruity, citrus and spicy, cloves. The flavor is light wheaty malts, yeast, light fruity, bananas, citrus. The mouthfeel is light crispy, fizzy and overall thin and watery. This light bodied Hefeweizen has a dry malty finish. Of course, a disappointment, here in the green Normandy, but may be I could write a different review on a sunny Greek beach !

500 ml shared bottle, as Craft Weiss Beer, thanks to our beerpal Jan Magnus who brought it from Greece. ABV is 5.0%. Cloudy orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma with notes of malt and wort, overshadows the typical h.w. notes of cloves and banana. Also notes of over-ripe berries. Wheaty flavour, refreshing, with a more pronounced hoppy bitterness than in many other hefeweizens.

Foggy brownish color. not much foam and it dissapears quite fast. Arom ais sweet and wheaty, very nice. Taste is rather dissapointing, sourish and not very special. Aftertaste is bitterish and refreshing.
