i bought a bottle of this brew and drank it while i watched a movie. thanks to cooper's brewery, i hated a movie i otherwise would have loved. it is one of the most bitter things you will ever put in your mouth, i advise going and digging up the roots of a tree and sucking on them, it tastes about like that. It tastes better than milwaukies beast, but that is the best i can say about it.

Rated Jan. 2007. Bottle with a full 12.7 oz. Poured golden at first until the sediment dropped into my glass and hazed it up a bit. No head. Light aroma with hints of citrus and malt. The flavor has what tastes like a wheat note along with pale malts. There’s a light bitterness that takes you from start to finish with some lemon and other vague bitter notes. Easy drinking lawnmower type beverage that ends a bit on the dry side.

Opaque yellow, no foam. Barley aroma, some vegetable notes. Probably the voyage from down under did not do this beer any good. Is that why IPA was invented? (Velp 201504)

pours a golden amber (mostly golden) in color with slight head and fair carbonation. The aroma is a nice hoppy aroma with some slight citrus notes. The taste is hoppy and flavorful with a dryish finish. The mouthfeel is medium body with fair amount of carbination and dryish finish.

Pours a clear, typical sunny yellow with a decent, if not persistent, white head. Aroma is - hello? OK, not strong, just malty, a teeny fruity, nothing special but still acceptable. Malty flavor has hints of fruit and hops, and is on the wan side. Smooth texture has average body and little fizz. This is best as a party beer or along with a meal.

not a favorite. i dog the stout from Coopers, but the others have been hot and miss, this being a miss. not very lively on the palate. bland sweet malts, thinnish, with some bitterness. better aroma, but not worth another shot.

It pours golden-yellow with thin white head and some lacing. An aroma of sour malts, golden delicious apples, faint hops, and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, full, and rich. Flavors of fresh malts, bread and yeast, hops, citrus, light banana, and spices. It doesn't look like an ale, but it is okay - tasty!

Cloudy golden amber colored beer. Small soapy textured white head rises above. No hang time here. Not much lacing Kinda flat, that is not real effervescent. Bland nose features. The notes are in the flavoring. Some yeasty malt and light citric hops. Sedimentation in this one, like you’d find in a wheat beer. Medium bodied and smooth about the most character in this one.

A cloudy pale yellow pour, not much head or lace. Aroma and flavor of grass, with a dry bitter finish. Overall it was kinda disappointing, with no noticeable hop presence it reminded me more of a foreign lager than a pale ale.

Bottle. Poured a pale gold colored ale with a three fingers white creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Vigourous carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is flowery hops, bready malts, hay, straw, barnyard. The flavour is sweety malts, herbal hops, grass, slight fruity, apricot. The mouthfeel is crispy, quite thin and watery. This light bodied beer has a long bitter finish. A drinkable ale.

I've had a couple of Cooper's beers now, and I'm not really impressed with them. This had skunked a bit, and tasted a bit like grass. The wasn't anything in the aroma except for faint whiffs of skunk. It looked darling though: thick white foamy head and a bright, but cloudy yellow color. A lot of sentiment left in the bottom of the bottle. I'll pass next time.
