Our Sour Pumpkin Saison is truly unique mash up of styles and flavours. We started the brew as a classic Saison, utilizing a traditional Saison yeast to provide both spicy and earthy tones. We put our unique spin on this beer two ways. First, during the brewing process we inoculated the wort with Lactobacilius for 24 hrs, this gives the brew a refreshing sour flavour. Second, we added locally grown and roasted pumpkins and traditional pumpkin pie spices. The final product is a pure magic, sweet and sour, spicy and refreshing and creatively unique.

Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a fizzy off-white head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Sour aromas with pumpkin pie spices and light grassiness. The taste is also a mix of the sourness and spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, all spices). Notes of yeast. Not too sour though, but well-blended overall. A real interesting twist on the pumpkin brews.

Pours an average size foamy bubbly white head that dissipates fairly quickly and has a hazy golden amber appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of light pumpkin spice, bready malt, resin. Flavours are a little bit sour, some pumpkin spice notes, not overly abundant but just enough. Some very light citrus and resin hops hints. Has a nice drying and tangy like mouthfeel. Not bad.
