Don't be easily deceived... This strong yet smooth ale features a combination of German Rauch (smoked) and Scottish Peated malts along with chocolate and crystal malts. The result is a pronounced and intriguing smokiness with a thick malty flavour. Not for the faint of heart!

From Central City, in a bomber. Dark pour with among the brownest heads ever, albeit a short-lived one. Aroma was seriously smoky, smoky peat in fact, not unlike a single malt whisky. Flavour was also of smoky peat, maybe a slight alcohol burn, but not much of that. Mouthfeel was supremely smooth and creamy. Smoky finish, too. "Imperial Smoked Ale"? No to a separate style for this one.
