It is a light drinking beer complete with a complex blend of sweet and roasted malts, leaving the drinker feeling refreshed. There are seven different types of malt in the Brown. They range from coffee, chocolate, toffee and caramel malts. All the malts have been added in the proper proportion to ensure that one flavor does not dominate the palette. This is the perfect pint to match with a burger, steak, stew, or pizza.

Pours an average size brownish head, a bit foamy and goes away after a little bit. Has a dark brown appearance with red hues. Weak lacing. Aromas of coffee and dark roasted malts. Flavours of mocha and some coffee, a bit of chocolate. Also a bit smokey as well. Hints of caramel. Somewhat bitter on the palate but not too offensive. Still goes down pretty easy.

On tap. Light mahogany brew. Very sweet, heavy caramel, minor citrus quality, some roast, something else.. pretty wobbly at this point. Too fruity, nice roasted malts, near plum and chocolate but isn’t neither. meh, ok hops, not the best brown. Needs a lot of work. Weak coffee. Light bitter finish. I’ve been told to go and find Sharawarma or something like that....

The beer poured a coca cola brown, with a thck white head that vanished quickly. The odor was very similar to molasses and malty nuttiness. It was creamy, yet highly carbonated. The flavour is bland, with a little bit of nuttiness.

Tried this one the same time as Chopz, but I got the regular draft version instead, wanted the hand pump, but oh well. Appearance was a reddish/brown with a white head that dissipated rather quickly, not much lacing either. Aroma and flavor are pretty much the same with some hop but mostly dark fruits. Slightly hoppy bitter aftertaste. I'll try the cask next time.

Sampled from the cask. Poured a deep brown colour, but still see-through, with red highlights. The foamy head was tanned and the lace left topped the brew for a while, and left webbings. Grapefruit aromas with hints of chocolat. Taste started off real fruity with grapefruit again, then went to a real smooth middle to then go to some small bitter finish. Roasted malts showed up in the aftertaste. Creamy slick mouthfeel. Not sure if this one was supposed to taste this fruity, but it sure was delicious.
