Sampled as Oxford Organic Raspberry Wheat Beer, brand new in May 08. Amber with red hues on the pour, normal head and lacing. Strong raspberry aromas over top of a light wheat base. The flavor was predictable from the aroma, sweet raspberries, syrupy, light than the amber, yet still too sweet to be thirst quenching. I think I could enjoy a raspberry wheat beer in the summer if only the raspberry was a faint background accent. Too bad brewers don't ever try to pull that off vs. making seltzer sugar water.

Very suprisingly good taste. You can def. taste the raspberries in the beer but not over powering. It is not your average fruit brewed beer.

A golden appearance. The aroma is raspberries and wheat. The flavor is somewhat doughy with some lemons and mainly raspberries of course. A pretty standard fruit beer.

My last beer from the mixed sixer that I brought back from my latest business trip to the Hampton Roads VA area. I saved this one for last, if for no other reason that I didn't really have much hope for it, to be honest. But after cracking this open while watching the Chargers beat Tampa Bay this afternoon, I can say that I was not at all disappointed with this one.
Is it something that I would want a sixer or a keg of at my disposal at all times? Hardly. A bit too sweet for routine drinking -- it'd never beat out my ussual mixed array of APAs and IPAs in my fridge -- but at no time did this feel sugary or cloying/sticky in my mouth. A fair amount of raspberry refreshment with this one, surprisingly enough.
Perfect? No. But is it a disgustingly sugar-sweet "wine cooler" of a beer? No, not at all.
Overall, a pretty respectable Fruit (Raspberry) Ale, that I found to be a pleasant surprise, to be honest. Not half bad, IMO....

Medium gold color. Small white head. Aroma is grainy and sweet with a definite raspberry flavor. A lighter bodied fruit beer. Malts are mild, fruity and sweet. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. The raspberry flavor sort of dominates this “beer”. It more cider-ish or alcopop-ish than beer like. There is a tinge of beer like bitterness and a slight taste of malts at the finish but that’s all. Its light and refreshing and the berry flavor is well balanced between tart and sweet. But, is a beer? Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is sweet.

A wonderfully aromatic beer from what is becoming a favorite brewer. Pours a light crimson, translucent, looks somewhat dull. Aroma of ripe raspberries, very striking, reminds me of a raspberry lambic, however this doesn't translate well in the flavor, somewhat flat raspberries are almost non-existant in the flavor, however has a crisp clean aftertaste. Overall a decent enough beer that I would purchase again.
