You've discovered Moerlein Saengerfest - a Maibock exalted by the spirit of song, friendship and brew. In 1849, a Saengerfest choral celebration began in Cincinnati and quickly became the Midwest's most monumental festival. The popularity of the event led to the 1878 construction of Cincinnati Music Hall - one of America's oldest and largest concert halls. We dedicate the deep Malt notes and clean Hops finish in this deep golden lager to the melody of life and the harmony that is Moerlein Saengerfest Maibock.

From my Marathon gas station Mix 6, Ohio style. light golden color, white head, some lacing. Malty and very light Noble-like hops presence, a bit thin, some bread and lemongrass. Still tasty.

Pours a clear golden copper color with a fairly solid small cream head that dissipates somewhat quickly, leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is laden with melanoidin character, caramelized malt, buttery toffee, slightly nutty, with a mild floral hop finish. There's a bit of metallic tang. The taste has caramel malt, toasted breadcrust, leading into a slightly bitter, dry finish. A bit of malt sweetness and floral hop flavor becomes evident as the tang subsides. The mouthfeel is moderate, with moderate carbonation and a bit of grainy astringency. Alcohol warmth hits the belly.

Medium bodied Maibock with a heavy honey aspect. Complete balance between a spicy, grassy noble hop presence and doughy sweet pale malts. Awesome dark golden body with a large white head and thick lacing.
