The beer pours a hazed metallic gold colour with a generous long lasting white head. The aroma is citrus, spices, yeast, funk, and light fruits. The mouthfeel is medium nodied with average carbonation. The flavour is bitter funk, yeast, aome fruit notes, and peppery spices. -

750ml bottle – decants a straw-gold hazed ale in the glass with a frothy white 2 finger cap. Heavy effervescence – be careful how you pour this or you’ll put half of it on the floor in foam. Aroma is both floral and fruity with a touch of earthiness. Spritzy fruity character with a decent pale malt spine and sharp hopping. Flavour is pale malt core with a very hoppy and lightly bitter override – clean, sharp on the palate, short lean finish. Very refreshing and satisfying at the same time.

Part of the 2013 LCBO Summer Release. I like the Dominus Vobiscum series of brews and this is no exception. A murky gold pour, lots of effervescence, and a tight creamy white head to top it off. Yeast, spices, and grains dominate the aroma, not much in the way of funk here. Flavour is similar to the smell, not a lot of funk to offset the yeast and spicy notes, but that increases the drinkability.

Found at Marché Omni. Pours a very slight hazy, light golden colour with a big creamy white head that lasts a very, very long time and chunks out foamy lacing. The smell at first reminds me of my first Unibroue experiences when they started. Spicy nose (peppery) with the Belgian Ale yeast, mild grass and citrus. Beautiful mouthfeel with just a little dryness in the finish, from the hop. Not overly bitter with a 35 IBU, which works well for this one. Very well-balanced taste of milder spices with the rest. The fruity aspect of a Saison are here, but come in and out as it breathes. Goes down very nicely and can be enjoyed any time of the year.

Small five oz. Taster from tap. Light yellowy gold body and for a small glass it manniged a good cap. Aroma is very mild and reminds me of wet hay, some lemon, hints of yeast and banana. Taste same but stronger, grass, yeast, and lemon, almost a vannila/rice crispy square finish. Thick and creamy feel. Beer is not doing it for me but still ok.
