Pours a rich copper with a ruby hue with a nice light tan head while being quite frothy. The aroma is almost skunky with toasted malts. The taste is of soft malts and are followed by some sweet malts and then apple sweetness. There is some caramel tying everything together making this pretty unique. The mouthfeel is light-medium bodywith low carbonation.

I sampled this at both the Museum, and the Plough while in London. I found it most enjoyable. It came to the table a deep chestnut with a medium white head. The flavor was malty with a bit of fruit either plum or cherry. It was very smooth and went perfect with Fish and chips and mushy peas.

I picked this beer up at Kroger in Roanoke off Brambelton Road. I thought this beer was great and a quality English Bitter. I would have this beer again - it reminds me of my time in London.

It pours dark-amber with thick and dimpled light-tan head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, light malt vinegar, bitterness, citrus, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and fairly rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, bitterness, citrus, and spiciness. Very good!

A brown-orange colored beer. A small soapy textured white head rises briefly above. Settles, though into a nice soapy ringlet. A light biscuit malt nose. A watered, bready-biscuit malt beer with an ever so subtle bitterness from earthy hoppiness. Fair amount of carbonation on the palate.. A thirst quencher, without a WOW factor.

Nice clear light amber pour with a near perfect creamy head and big time lacing. Soft caramel malt aromas with very light hops. Taste is very balanced with a nice caramel malt sweetness offset by a decent dose of hops bitter. Very nice.

What a nice pour. Just a little thin and frothy, but the deep copper color more than makes up for it. Floral hop and musty pub smell. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side. Its almost watery. What a let down. Taste is sweet malty carmel with a little hops. Also a little thin. FInish is short, clean and metallic. This beergoes down easy, but it's hard for me to call it an ESB.

2 * 275 ml bottles. Poured a clear deep amber or old-copper with ruby tones colored ale with a one finger slight beige creamy foamy head that had a superb retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is herbal hops, slight caramel malts, fruity, ripe raisins, plums. The flavour is fruity, ripe raisins, slight roasted malts, spicy with a touch of pepper. The mouthfeel is mild-coffee creamy and very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a lingering bitter finish. A very nice Bitter.

this is the 5.2% abv, BB 31/10/09. Pours a nice copper/red with a decent vanilla head that fades slowly leaving some lacing behind. Smells dry and hoppy with a hint of spice. At first theres a slight maltiness to it followed directly by bitter hops with a hoppy follow. Medium well carbonated mouthfeel. overall an interesting beer.

Aroma consists of caramel malts and some slight traces of wet cardboard. Pours a translucent, dead-on ruby-amber with a thin cap of head that leaves smears and globs all over the glass. Flavor is mostly caramel malts with some slightly bitter undertones. Was not expecting much bitterness, and this turned out to be a slightly better than average British ESB. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side, dry finish. Nothing really noteworthy here. A delicious beer, and the $4 pricetag sweetens the deal.
