Interesting bottle, blue cristal with an unusual, vintage design, fat at the bottom and long and slim in the neck. Acid smell, caramel taste but very slim and light, sulphur-like taste and smell makes this one difficult to drink if not used to the style. Lightly roasty flavor but sweet. Not my favorite one.

It's not a POrter, the taste is not that smoked and the colour is darker. The foam is not that from Porters. It looks to me mor elike a Sweet Stout. It has a slightly yellow line at the top and it's quite heavy to drink. The foam is made from considerably big bubbles and has a nice roasted grains flavour.

500 ml blue "liqueur design" bottle, bought in Edinburgh. "Lote 00148". ABV is 4.7%. Black coloured beer, reddish brown in the highlights. Large to moderate tan head. Unusual aroma with notes of balsamic vinegar, dark fermenting fruits, ensilage, burned rubber and glue, hints of chocolate and liquorice - good and not-so-good at the same time. The flavour is moderately roasty, fruity and acidic with distinct notes of smoke, hints of liquorice. The mouthfeel is a bit thin. Very far from being the best porter in the world, but worth a try.

I certainly acknowledge that this beer is a porter. However, I feel compelled to also rate this by style, as a Mexican beer. It's only fair. Pours deep brown with a short, fading head. The aroma is light with coffee notes and a hint of sulphur, much less of the latter than most Mexicanos. The mild flavor is lightly roasty with coffee, toffee dominating. The body is light, but impressively smooth with gentle carbonetion.

Sampled from bottle - an unusual-looking cobalt-colored one. Pours opaque blackened-brown with a thin, light-tan head. Aroma was quite mild: just a bit of toasted malt. Flavor is balanced and dominated by caramel and roasted malts. Also has some fruit esters, but they are mild. Medium-full body and smooth. A good porter, but nothing ground-breaking.

This is the Mexican version of Guinness. Smells bad (kinda crap-ish) when opened, but when poured it smells like a Guiness opened 2 days ago. The flavor is not that bad, thought... actually, it's a close call for the real thing but I'll pay the 20% more for Guinness.

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a thin head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a slight caramel note and a little roastiness. Medium bodied and smooth.
