I assume that the target audience for this beer is high school kids looking to get a huge buzz on for a Saturday night, or prior to the high school dance. This is a malt liquor. It is clear gold in colour and all you can really smell is alcohol. Not much in the way of grains or hops are present unfortunately.

Sold in Italy as Ceres Strong Ale. Clear yellow with white foam head. Aroma is bitter, smokey. Taste is like bad quality pilsener, bitter but also something rotten. Not nice. (Rome 201205)

This is a fairly good good strong lager, carries its high ABV well. Good head, pleasant aroma, powerful flavour. Beats Carlsberg's Elephant beer. But a ROYAL selection?? Oh well, I've never been a monarchist anyway...
