I had this beer at the Safe House in Milwaukee. Another great local offering. This beer was good - dark, proper mouthfeel, good coffee flavors. Didn't show up in the nose as well which cost it a point. I'd have this again in a second.

Bottled on 3/25/13, about 9 months old. Pours a dark brown with a tad bit of sediment. One finger white head goes away fairly quick. Aroma is very typical of a porter, light roasted malts galore. Slight soapy hint to the nose as well. Unfortunately the taste is feeling the age of the beer. Bland and slightly metallic. Slightly creamy. Does not last well in the bottle, might try a new one if I find it.

Pours a very dark brown color. Smell is of chocolate, some coffee. Taste is coffee up front, then some chocolate. Feels full bodied in the mouth and is a quality beer.

Chocolately, dark chocolatey, with that nice bitter dark chocolate bite, and smooth creamy head. This one was nitrogren forced which made me think it would make a good porter, especially if it were paired with something lighter and my gut feel right now is it would be excellent paired with titletown sapsucker on the bottom to make a unique black and tan. The first minute or so it had a chemically aroma, and I wondered if this were from the nitro.

starts out looking nice with a nice, robust roast and chocolate aroma. slightly lacking in any aubstantial feel and the flavor is ok, but a one trick pony (malted chocolate) so the finish is a letdown. disclaimer, though-bottled in october 2011, so as much as 7 mo. old.

A dark brown pour, not quite black, with a thick brown head leaves the bottle fopr my glass. Roasted malt, dark fruit, and chocolate comprise the aroma. The flavour is well balanced between the coffee bitterness, and the molasses sweetness. Worth trying out.

Pretty average looking porter, dark with a creamy head. Mouthfeel is a little watery but also smooth with a touch of cream. Flavor is pretty typical with chocolate and coffee roasted malts. Interesting use of hops in this, a good bitter finish that adds a bit of excitement.

This was one of 3 chocolate-ish beers I tried yesterday at the Devil's Den yesterday. Looked about average for a porter. What I did find right away was the body was too thin and really let me down. Otherwise had some nice chocolate and coffee flavor that would make the beer pretty good.

Very dark with faint ruby highlights and a dark tan head. Chocolate and sweet, roasted malts dominate the aroma and taste with a slight bitterness in the finish. A very fine, easy drinking porter.

Dark brown/black color with a nice off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and faint smell of smoke. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, and smokey flavor. An excellent beer and highly enjoyable!
