Pours a dark amber with a 2 finger head that disappears quickly. Aroma is lemony and almost smells like someone dealt a fart. A little bit of carbonation in the bottle. Taste is of hops, lemons, and an ever slight sourness to it. Overall fairly common for the style. Not much to my taste.

Tame Oktoberfest by most American standards, but it contained all the familiar qualities. Provided to me by heybeerman and enjoyed early in the Fest Season. Sweet nutty caramel with a touch of floral hops, bready with a hint of bearclaw pastry. Balanced and light to medium bodied, finishes a tad empty. Dark copper color with a frothy white head.

I was kind of disappointed by this one, I have come to expect better from central waters. This is a marzen but so subtlety that you almost miss it. Grassy nose and some sour notes cloud the otherwise traditional flavors. The beer is also quite thin and overall reminded me of a pils.

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this Oktoberfest. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a nice white head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet and soured malts with a touch of nuts and a strange fruitiness. Taste has the same slight sourness along with some sweet malts, a bit of caramel, biscuit and hops. Very average for the style - even slightly strange - still very drinkable.

Quite the classic O'fest pour and nose; a hazy deep amber and a foamy white head with aromas of light fruit and toasted caramel malt. A surprising palate, though, sharply astringent and bitter with a sour taste that mellows just slightly in the finish. Lacks the malt depth expected in a classic Marzen.

Sampled from bottle: Pours a beautifully dark yet clear illuminating copper colour with a finger sized white head. Aroma is slightly nutty, slightly malty with soft caramel undertones. Taste is creamy on the palate with hints of milk chocolate, mint and pepper.

Medium copper colored body with a trace of a thin white head. The aroma is shortbread cookies with earthy toffee. There is also some a little bit of dried grass. The taste is much drier than I expected. It has some light toffee and bread crust. There is plenty of carbonation with the short lived taste. I have had a lot better from Central Waters. Thanks a lot, civ.

An excellent Okotberfestbier from Wisconsin. Great deep brown with fluffy eggshell head. Loads and loads of malt flavors, some german (hallertauer?) noble hop flavor. Roasty and an almost chocolately maltiness comes in mid bottle. Slight yeasty breadiness. Excellent offering.
