The color pours out copper in color with no head. The aroma is yeast, malt and something sweet but it's not fruit. The mouthfeel is smooth and thick. The flavor is of rich malt, yeast and something sweet. I can't figure out what the sweetness is maybe figs.

A bright orange yellow colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's some hang time on that head. It settles into a light dusting of film and thick ringlet. The total profile is sweet, toffee malt. Full bodied, creamy on the tongue

thanks John! .. . Strange aroma of honey dust and with light german cellar .. . dark orange on the pour .. . low head .. . shows quite a bit of the abv .. . muddled over the top sweetness .. . but it does the job, a decent doppel, just pretty sweet and confusing .. Cindy...the TV's leaking...

Amber-copper in color, sparkling body with tight bubbles. A foamy head and splotchy lacing, looks very common. Doughy malt aroma reminiscent of crackers followed by a sugary apple scent. Malty and fairly sweet, it's a sturdy brew with a faint bite. Airy and malty with flavors of sweetened bread and light caramel. Green hops help add some balance, finishes a touch grassy.

Sampled on 3/17/2009. This dopplebock pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of bubblegum, banana and apricot. A medium to full bodied dopplebock. The malts are fruity and sweet, some banana and apricot. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very nice sweet malts flavors, a little bit of banana. Mouthfeel is very full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Capital Blonde Doppelbock 2 cheapdark 12 oz bottle. Pleasant yeasty aroma, diminutively volatile to the nose once in the glass. Slightly darker than pale yellow with no visible CO2. Good fizz on the palate however. Taste is rather medicinal in nature, orange alky @ times. Finish is medium lingering bite. Certainly is 8%. Blonde dplbk S5L2F3T4O7

Courtesy of pfoxyjohn. Pours an orange-amber with t thick creamy head and nice lacing. Some carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts, toffee and brown sugar. Taste is sweet as candy with a caramel and toffee maltness.

Pours a clear amber colour with a fairly small white malty head. Taste is relatively light, semi sweet with toffee and butterscotch hints. Possibly honey. Aroma is pleasent, but hard to distinguish. Possibly honey. ~ Re-rate 3.17.09- Strong malty nose, noticeable alcohol fumes, but not overpowering. Taste is a little more rich then i remember. Caramel, cherry and some other kind of beer on the palate.

This beer looked beautiful when poured; a clear copper color with a thick off-white head. The nose was subdued malt but the flavor was rich, thick and sweet. Full, smooth mouthfeel; a full-bodied brew. Malty with burnt toffee notes and slight bitterness.

Sadly pours a pale orangy-yellow with no head. Leaves no lace. Smells of apples and malt. It is medium-bodied with a sticky, sweet malt flavor. I won't drink this one again.
