RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at BlackLab, as Camerons Lager, 5%. Golden colour., white head. Aroma and flavour have some grass and a little citrus - a fairly decent and drinkable dry lager, nothing exceptional, but fair enough.

Pours a fair amount of bubbly head and has a clear golden appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of malts, grains and wheats. Flavours are mainly sweet and bready malts. Average carbonation. Good retention. Light-medium bodied. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Ok lager.

A clear golden lager with a huge frothy white head that is very drinkable. The aroma is grainy malt, some hops, and rather weak. The flavour is very lagery. A little more robust than a macro-brew, but not by much.

I tried this beer on draught on April 2, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Camada. The beer poured a translucent reddish gold with a frothy white head. The aroma was grainy malt, with some florally hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was more grainy malt, with a little hoppish tone, and a nice bitter finish.

i found this beer to be quite odd, like no other lager i've ever tasted, and that's not a good thing. in an odd way, it reminded me of a poor cousin to the cream ale. the whole experience was quite odd, and the numbers above reflect more medians han overalls. for example, with the aroma, both out of the bottle and the glass, and started nice and grassy like a lager should. for that i gave it a 7. but then it quickly turned sour, esp. out of the glass, and for that i gave it 2. the colour was rather standard but it did have nice head that lasted longer than i expected. taste wise, i found it kind of disgusting. it wasn't watery or weak, for which i do gove it credit, but the taste that was there was just plain odd. the mouthfeel is this beer's strongest attribute. full and crisp, it fills all sides of themouth, alas though, it does leave somewhat of a sour aftertaste. overall, i was very dissapointed, esp.since i love their cream ale. i won't be having this one again, not even on tap. and those who know me know i like to sample all the draught versions of all the beers i try.

Comes in a 9-pack case, this lager pours a golden-yellow colour. The head is white, creamy-bubbly, has average lager retention and leaves some wavy lacing. This is definitely a different kind of grain malt that I am used to in this kind of beer. Active carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. The same different malt is tasted. Some slight sweetness, some slight sourness. Lemon shows up in the aftertaste. An above average lager worth upgrading the name to premium.

340ml standard twist top brown bottle. According to the box these 9 beer were bottled slightly less than 3 months ago, according to their site this is half life on the shelf...but this LCBO had them unchiiled as the box recommends keeping refigerated...could have something to do with my tasting results. Pours a pale slightly hazed gold lager, small white cap , some lacing. Nose is light malts, herbal hops and a funky sour smell like spoiled dairy. Has some bready malt presense, tangy hops sit back...finish is fast with a bit of a bread after taste...and that annoying sour taste (sulferous?) I think this lot may be spoiled...don’t know if they are but the LCBO should be more careful to refigerate beer that instructs them to do so...this is probably a standard lager...little weak on malt for my tastes but I can’t be sure as I suspect spoilage. Will rerate later.
