Roggenbiers (Rye Beers) were declared illegal in 1516 by the Germanic Lords after a series of poor harvests. The Bavarian Purity Law outlawed the use of RYE for brewing beer so that it could be reserved for making bread. It has been 500 years since the passing of the Reinheitsgebot and we have resurrected this lost style to create a very refreshing, sessionable and smooth ale. •5.2% ABV (alcohol by volume) •Sessionable, drinkable, refreshing, smooth ale •Newest member of the Brewmaster’s Series •Seasonal listing for September to December •Available on draught at bars across the province •Ships directly from Cameron’s Brewery in Oakville

Dark copper colour with a decent head. After a minute the head is gone. No lacing. Can smell and taste, caramel, spice, hints of cherry, banana with a bit of a sour finish. Sounds better than it is. Medium mouthfeel. Couldn't session this beer.

Acquired by trade with Chopz. Pours a big foamy beige head and has a hazy coppery/brown appearance. Nice dirty lacing. Light roasted malt and earthy hop aromas. Bready and nutty malt flavours, some light floral hops as well as some hints of caramel and mild spices. Active and lively carbonation. Chalky and slick mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff.

Single bomber at the LCBO. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a yellow head, fizzing away quickly and topping a little the brew. Spicy aromas over the rye, almost reminding me of a nice drinkable Belgian Ale. The mouthfeel is pretty fizzy as well. That same Belgian Ale taste with the spices, yeast and darker malts. Hints of cherry. Pretty nice from Cameron's, but gets a little saturated to drink too much of it.

The beer pours a hazed rust colour with a decent sized tan coloured cap kept alive by copious effervescence. The aroma is rye, caramel, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet malt, some hoppish bitterness with a spicy finish. Quite good. -

Bomber bottle - pours a muddy rusty color, decent off white cap - fair lacing, soft carbonation. Aroma is also soft - light toasty malt tones, with spicy rye and hop undertones, lightly earthy. Flavor has a big chew on toasty lightly sweet malts in front , light hop balance, finish sees the rye show up with some spice and earthiness and a light hop not at the end. Decent Roggen - very similar to Mill Sreet’s Roggenbier but a tad sweeter
