While I generally don't go for the house brews at either this place, or it's sister brewpub (the San Diego Brewing Company), I got this today on a whim. And after finishing it, I kinda wish I spent more time examining the beer list better!

Average appearence -- a bit darker than the norm, as far as Pale Ales go. And not much going on with the aroma besides an over-ripe citrus smell. At that point, I kinda knew where the rest of this beer was headed. "Yet another average Cascade hopped American Pale Ale"

Spicy and fruity on the tongue -- not neccesarily in a good way, either. This definately has Cascade and/or Centennial, but in the sense that the hops used were either past their prime, or somehow their use was flawed in the brewing process. Not horrible, but definately distracting.

A beer that strikes me (paradoxically) as being either too young or too old, and nothing to get excited about.
