This "old brown" is a beer that we like to call our flagship, it is a typical beer style for our region. This beer is a mixture of some 'old' brown beer already behind a maturation of 6 months in oak barrels, and some "young" brown beer. Each barrel is tasted and separately on taste cut in different concentrations with each other. Thus we get the perfect blend. Each year, the taste slightly different. The main characteristics remain the same: The aroma is dominated by green apple, red fruits and oak. The taste is very sour and refreshing thirst-quenching. Let it tastes! Old Brown has an alcohol content of 6% and is available in bottles of 37,5 cl Geuze.

Pours opaque dark caramel, minimal beige head. Aroma delivers tart, sour dark fruit. Flavor will make your face do calisthenics it is so pucker-happy - sour dark fruit, a hint of toasted malt. Texture offers firm, smooth body and peppy fizz. For serious lovers of sours.

2012 Edition. Clear medium to dark amber red colour with a frothy, off white head, fair lacing. Aroma is nice, caramel, berries, barnyard, wood, and cherry notes. Flavour is sweet with moderate acidic notes, and a tart berry finish. Decent balance and complexity.
