I expected more from this. Something darker and something sweeter. So, for m,e this beer was a huge letdown - something I find common with Brick's products

Bottle fresh from the brewery: Pours a dark copper-brown lager with a 3 finger cap that reduuced to a small surface cap...modest lacing. Aroma is very subdued. Whisps of roast grains some light cocoa, sweetness, grassyness and an odd aroma of "wet metal" ???. Taste is far more intense than the aroma. The front side has a warm toasty malt presence, low sweetness, hints of molasses and cocoa, finishes fast, clean and a tad thin with a light woody dryness . This is decent dark lager.... it has some qualities of a bock but with the thinner body, lower ABV and lighter color, this is more like a Canadian-made Munich Dunkel...mellow, toasty- malty, but not with Bockbier’s gravitas and strength Those looking for the old Brick Bock will be disappointed but...if you come at this with the expectations of a Munich-style dunkler lager, you will appreciate it more.
