Headed out for late lunch to this brew-pub. Their Irish stew was excellant, and a nice compliment to their new porter. Rich, darkness in color. Moderate creamy textured, light tan head rising above. There's some hand time. Settles eventually into a moderate sized ringlet atop the body and thicksplotches of film aside the glass. Quite impressive so far. The nose and tasting are simple, but in simplicity it works so well. Roasted malt dominates. Neither too sweet or too bitter. The goldilocks of Porter expectation. And the body, well that was supremely impressive. One of the more robust porters I've had to date. Full body and adequately carbonated. Yes I ordered up a couple more.
