I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Enjoyed at Pub Italia with PaleAleRider. Hazy golden-amber colour with a beige creamy head, decent retention and lacing. Beautiful fruity aromas of oranges and mild grass. Sweet taste between the fruit and the caramel. Nice grassy hops, but not too crazy, and the bitterness is smooth. Mild zest in the aftertaste. Wow ! What a nice Impy IPA that has loads of sweet citrus over the hops.

Enjoyed a bottle at Pub Italia. Pours a thin layer of foamy head and has a slightly hazy amber copper appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas are very fruity, some herbal hops and pine. Flavours are also quite fruity, some oranges. Citrus and floral hops abound in the mix. Slight bitterness creeps in after a while, but not the hoppy kind. Really good collab.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy tea-like amber with a smallish off-white head that retains well and laces the glass
. The aroma is a nice blend of fruity, piney, resiny hops with a little stinkiness. It fades a lot as it warms and some cola comes out.
The flavor is sweet caramel and toffee malts with a little cola and tropical fruit followed by a big piney, resiny bitterness that lingers. The mouthfeel is full bodied with low carbonation and a bit syrupy.
Overall, an nice, huge DIPA. A little pricey at $7 a bottle though. Best a bit cold. As it warmed, it lost some of the hop characteristics and became a little overly sweet and treacly. -

just drank I Beat You, and this is not as good. This is thicker, woodier (french oak and really old elm), more dense, bit of a birch syrup quality. Extremely perfectly balanced. Great grand marnier quality. Seems to be some white sugar. I keep thinking there is some marijuana present here---seems to be like an anti insence nature to it. I dont know if that describes it at all, but its understandable to me, even being esoteric. The alcohol is more prevelant than in I beat you or hardcore IPA. overall good but not I Beat You.

Fun packaging. Gotta try. A rich amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, off-white head rising above. There's great hang time on this one. Settles eventually into a thick ringlet and splotches of film. The nose and tasting are bold pine resins. A slick resin lies on the tongue. Just the right beer for a warm day.

Pours a dark, clear, slightly mahogany-reddish amber with a thick, fairly persistent off-white head. Aroma is decently hoppy with an undertone of sweet apple and pear. Strongly hoppy flavor is fairly bitter but not nastily so and has a subtle fruity undertone with just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is rough and fizzy, leaving a fairly strong and persistent hoppy tingle.

more bitter than floral or flavorful, this was decent, but fell short of expectations. i prefer bright hops...floral, aromatic, citrus...this was just bitter. well balanced with a nice sweet malt presence. decent beer, not a good value for the coin.

I had this beer on New Years Eve 2010 - This beer was really bitter and quite the good Imperial IPA. The collaboration was a good one. That being said, I can get cheaper Imperial IPAs that are just as good. It's worth trying.

sampled on 10/16/10. 330ml bottle with mitch. pours a slightly hazy copper color. medium head. aroma is citrus/piney/fruity hops. full body. taste is toffee sweetness with a nice grapefruity/piney hop bite. big juicy hops making my mouth water. but balanced with a good malty sweetness. nice carbonation. mouthfeel is full. aftertaste has a nice bitterness. yum
