BrewDog Elvis Juice
BrewDog Elvis Juice
Rated 3.370 by BeerPalsCan, Bottle and Keg. An American IPA with a bitter edge that will push your citrus tolerance to the brink and back; Elvis Juice is loaded with tart pithy grapefruit peel. This IPA has a caramel malt base, supporting a full frontal citrus overload - grapefruit peel piled on top of intense us aroma hops. Waves of crashing pine, orange and grapefruit round out this citrus infused IPA.

Keg halfpint at The Wild Boar, Aberdeen. Deep golden colour, white head. Aroma and flavour of grapefruit, and grapefruity and piney hops. Very refreshing.

Taps clear amber with a fair parchment head. Aroma yields crisp malt, resiny hops, tangy citrus and a stonefruit hint. Flavor provides all of these and a couple bags of chips - tasty and satisfying, with more wood in the hops though the stonefruit is more shy. Texture offers good body and peppy fizz. All hail the King!

Pours a clear maize color with small off-white head, with great retention and great lacing. The aroma consists of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of citrus hops. Mouthfeel is sharp and clean, with a high carbonation level and medium bodied. The taste is of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, hint of tea, and a hint of citrus hops.

Bottle. Colour - clear rust colour, plenty of effervescence, minimal cream colouyred head. Aroma - tropical fruit, citrus, grass, pine, and cereal malts. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, good carbonation. Flavour - hop forward beer with plenty of citrusy hops notes, some cereal malt notes are present, but definitely overpowered by hops.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours a good size thick frothy off-white head and has a golden/amber appearance. Some thick dirty lacing. Great retention. Aromas are floral and citrusy, some grassy and herbal hints as well. Flavours are fruity, citrusy, grapefruit notes are quite apparent especially at the forefront. Some subtle spice and herbal notes as well as earthy hops. Slick and drying mouthfeel.

The beer pours a copper tinged gold colour with absolutely no head. The aroma is definitely grapefruit which may or may not be masking both the fruit and hop aromas. Not much else to note except grapefruit. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is citrusy hops, some grapefruit, and weak sweet malt. Quite enjoyable actually. -

Pours a clean amber colour with a big frothy warm cap, good retention and some light foamy lacing. Big piney aromas from the hops with orange, grapefruit notes over the caramel malt background. Grainy tasting at first with the citrus coming along. Some nice darker cereal notes overall with the hops not being too crazy. Or just well-blended in here. Pretty nice all-around.
