What a yummy stout. I love this stuff. I used to go to Kansas City while this brewery developed its beers and loved every last draught I drank. The head on this Porter is superb. If you serve it at above "lite beer temps" it will hold like a layer of styrofoam and put a smear on your upper lip. This is amazing stuff!

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Ølen. ABV is 6.0%. Dark ruby colour, large and lasting beige head. Pleasant aroma, mild roasty notes, prunes, chocolate and mild coffee. Medium dry flavour, smooth and easy drinking, chocolate, mild coffee and a hint of liquorice. Hops, coffee and wood in the aftertaste.

Pours a transparent dark red/brown with a 2 finger head that seems to go down fast. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, and a little toffee. Taste is dry, slightly metallic, and roasted. Kinda reminds me of a Samuel Smiths brew. Aftertaste is quite dry and bready. Somewhat flat. Not bad.

Pours a dark-chocolate brown with a very thick light tan head that leaves heavy lacing. Smoky aroma has notes of licorice, molasses and coffee. Scrumptious flavor fills the mouth with quality coffee, molasses, chocolate and burnt hops notes plus a hint of licorice. Texture has decent body and plenty of fizz. Let it "bully" you.

wish list cross off. a nice porter indeed. very roasty, w/some chocolate and hoppt notes as well, well balanced. would be elite if the feel wasn't too prickly, but that can happen with bottle conditioned brews...

It pours a very very dark-red with a thick light-tan head and fairly copious lacing. An aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate light hops, licorace, citrus, raisin and dates, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and very rich. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, hops, citrus, raisin and dates, licorace, light molasses, and spices. Very flavorful and rich .. solid!

Opaque brown pour with a big creamy head that never leaves coupled with thick, frothy lacing. Milk chocolate and dark roasted malt aromas along with noble hops. Nice aroma, but it's a bit tame. Rich and full bodied with a lingering bitter-sweetness. Flavor is full of chewy malts and roasted nuts. Bitter chocolate with milk and sugar.

I really don't like Boulevard beers, but I keep buying them to give them another chance. All of their beers that I have tried have left a gritty residue in my moiuth after each drink. The Bully porter is no different. The appearance is great... maybe a little flat. The taste is pretty good too. But the residue... I just can't get past it.

This is a beer that made me want to try out the rest of the beer world. It is full-flavored with a great bite to it. I loved the coffee aroma and flavour.

Wow, I was glad I tried this one. Malty flavor with coffee flavor followed by dark chocolate. Pours a nice dark brown/black with a big tan head. Good lacing on the glass.
