pours a hazy amber gold, with a thick creamy head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is very faint, with maybe a little hint of hops here or there, but for the most part I can't pick up on anything. The taste is nothing like the aroma as it tastes like an IPA mixed with a thick lager. Lots of hops, lots of citrus. The mouthfeel is nice and thick, unlike some other IPAs. Not too thick, but a lot of character.

A decent little beer that could use a little more flavour. A dark gold pour, somewhat clear. Lots of hops in the aroma, light fruit, and grains. Flavour is a tad non-descript. Not really hoppy, and not really malty, and the flavour is still a bit weak.

Bottled@The 2nd ES/CS Beer Tasting. (thanks J.S.). Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is dfloral and fruity hops with some grassy and malty notes. Flaviour is crisp malts along with fruity and floral hops. A rather pleasantly balanced brew.

another pleasant offering from Boulder. nothing that stands out, but a nice sweet/bitter balance, with a very floral nose. fairly basic, but pretty good overall.

Dec. 2009 - Pretty nondescript and rather bleh. Not a bad beer mind you, but nothing to make it stand out. British hops, some caramel malts...in muted terms for both. Some Brit out there might say that’s how beer is supposed to be, but I need a bit of something to jar me out of my complacency.

I enjoyed this "IPA" slightly more than their Mojo Risin IPA. This seemed more like a hoppy Pale Ale versus IPA, but had a the floral notes in the aroma and taste like many IPAs. Advertised on the bottle as "English-style Ale", so I'm not sure exactly what it is. Maybe somthing similar to Lagunitas 2009 Correction Ale. Is it a Pale Ale or IPA....that is the question???? Still another solid brew from Boulder Beer. Nothing by them really blowing me away yet, but they are reasonably priced for the quality they deliver.

I got a golden amber colored beer. A moderate frothy off white head sits atop for a fair amount of time, eventually settling into am impressive lacing. The nose is very aromatic herbal hops with a slight hint of malt. There’s a moderately robust body. Citrus hops come in on the taste adding the floral presence there in the nose.

Sampled on 4/8/2009. This English Ale/IPA pours a slightly cloudy medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrus and earthy. A medium bodied ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are floral and herbal. Nice balance. Lively carbonation. A very drinkable session beer. I am not quite sure just where this beer would fit style wise. It’s not really a Pale Ale or IPA and its not really a Strong Ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a dark orange with medium white head. Aroma is of grassy and citrusy hops with a similar taste but with a nice malt backbone. I enjoyed this--probably one of the best English IPAs I've tried.

this poured a nice orange color, the foam did not stay around long. The aroma is really good, the taste i like . Definitely not a thin drink, I could not pick up the alcohol notes at all.Would like to recommend this one gets a try.
