Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day

Pours clear amber with a frothy and typical snow-white head. Aroma presents wheaty and fruity tones, not strong but inviting. Typical flavor has wheaty, malty and fruity tones, nothing special but refreshing. Mouthfeel features typical body and not much fizz. Still, a good way to celebrate Summer, or bring a little summer into the colder months.

Pours out a clear gold color with no head. The aroma is very light with no rest fragrance. The mouthfeel is clean but watery. The taste is almost none existent with very light notes of citrus.

Pours a dark golden color. Smell is sweet, some malts. Taste is very mild, some malts, not a lot going on. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

"Having this in NY City after my band played there. Pours a golden colour with an average white head with small lace. Very mild malt aromas. Same for the taste. Refreshing if cold, but not much compared to their lager. An average summer ale.

I also found this to be Kolschish. For summer brews, I am finding better out there. Kind of boring, but on the other hand crisp and refreshing. Not much flavor here...compared to Harpoon's or Brooklyn's summer which has a bit more taste to it. Glad I only tried a single. I would actually go with something like Blue Point's Toasted Lager or their Pale Ale. This one was a miss.

A bright golden colored beer with a big frothy white head rising above. There's some hng time. It settles eventually into a thick soapy ringlet. The nose and to a greater extend the tongue are more sweet, bready, caramel. There's some subtle notes of citrus and grass. A medium bodied beer with an impressive creaminess.

I liked the golden color of this brew and the thick head. The taste was very smooth and enjoyable. There was a slightly sweet taste to it that made it extra nice. This is a good one to try!

Nice summer ale. Poured a bright yellow with airy white head , generous carbonation, and a small bit of lacing. The aroma was simply fresh and clean with just a hint of citrus. Vey refreshing and smooth drinking. I was reminded of a Kolsch in many ways.

Golden color with a small white head and some light lacing on the glass. Light citrus and sweet malt aroma. Nice and refreshing taste of sweet citrus. not overly complex though the refreshing qualities of this beer make it nice.
