Brownish black with a tan head. Aroma contains some chocolate, caramel, and cherries. The flavor is rather sweet with some chocolate, cherries, and some raisins. A mild sour finish with little evidence of booze. Overall a good imperial stout.

Purchased at the Hunger Mountain Coop in Montpelier, VT. Pours a real dark brown colour with a decent beige head and a little lace. Nutty and yeast aromas, but not much more. Sweet taste with some light roasted malts and hints of nuts in the finish. Coffee notes lingers in the aftertaste. Written "Sour Cherry Imperial Stout". Do not taste any sourness, nor cherry. Decent Impy Stout for other reasons. Not really accurate on the name of the brew.

This wa the first of three stouts/porters I'd had today at World of Beer. Let this one warm a bit and everything about it comes forth. Dark brownish. Big light tan frothy head rises above. There's good hang time on the head. A thin ringlet is left. Tart cherries come forth in the profile, both in the nose and on the tongue. Some dry roasted malt carries the cherries in a good way. Full boied and creamy. Nice start to the afternoon.

Comes out of the tap a warm sable just a scratch above black with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Malty aroma has chocolate, caramel, cherry and nutty hints. Satisfying flavor has a core of roast malt plus notes of cherry, more sweet than sour, Texture has good body and plenty of fizz. If you like cherries and stouts, this is a must!

Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm (as Blue Point Sour Cherry Imperial Stout). Black colour, big creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, coffee, some smoked wet wood as well as some mild notes of cherries. Flavour is quite much the same and also has some liquorice and tarry notes in addition. Cherries barely show in this brew.

One of the best stouts that I have drank. Poured a dark black, half inch head that stayed throughout most of the mug and had a slight cherry aroma. Not overly sweet, a very nice stout. Would highly recommend drinking if you find it.
