We went for drink ability when crafting the recipe for this organic craft beer, Bison's IPA is a micro brew that you could actually drink a couple of and still taste your food pairing. We blend 4 hops varieties together into 4 kettle additions and finish with a blend of two organic dry hops. IPAs like this are a bit hazy from all the hops, but you will enjoy it. The balanced malt profile finishes dry as the aroma of hops linger on your palate. 2-row and caramel malt, love.

Nothing to write home about with this one. My wife's uncle picked it up when we were at Whole Foods, but the brew ended up being nothing but a regular old IPA. Clear copper, typical nose and flavors. Drinkability is there, but I wouldnt consider this anything special

yeah...pretty much this "We went for drink ability when crafting the recipe for this". that really says it all, they were going for easy accessable and got it. nothing offensive, but average subdued floral and citrus flavored ipa. that's about it.

Mostly clear copper/burnt orange color. An off white head that was weak in size and retetnion. It left a minute amount of lacing. A couple bubbles rising to the top. More subdued aromas of grapefruit citrus and floral notes than what is typically found in an IPA I thought. It seems to provide a more pronounced biscuit malt. It's balanced fairly well, but just insubstantial. This almost has an apple juice type of aroma. Again, with the taste, the malt backbone seems to stand out a bit more than the citruc bitterness. Small spalshes of alcohol find their way into the flavor. The malt is reminiscent of biscuit and caramel. Picking up some earthy tones with some apple flavorings. Medium mouthfeel. Relatively crisp and smooth. Slight alcoholoic burn at the end. Left a little to be desired when covering the palate. Mostly dry in the finish also. This beer is just ok in my opinion. It's nothing bad, but all aspects seem a bit feeble. This could be a good introductory IPA. The ABV is a bit high for a sessionable beer, but it's still relatively easy to drink.

Aroma is fairly hoppy with an undertone of sweet citrus, mainly mandarin orange. It pours a pretty clear amber with a thick, fluffy, fairly persistent off-white head - an extra point there. Flavor is hoppy and just a little bitter with a hint of citrus sweetness. Texture is pleasingly smooth with a nice fizz, and it leaves a hoppy, woody, slightly bitter and subtly tingly finish. This is not the best IPA I have ever had, but it is worthy of at least a try.

A nice looking, slightly hazy IPA - That is where the goodness ends. This brew simply lacks - in every thing else. Thin body, thin flavor and thin aroma - not bad, just not enough of the things I am looking for.

Agree with the following reviews. This is a subpar IPA. Not too good. Thin and full of grapefruit with way too little malt. Looks very good but tastes way too thin and light. Needs some body! and some mouthfeel. Otherwise not too bad.

The label further suggests "organic"... didn't know, but was hoping that it didn't taste like sprouts and tofu or some such - not that there's anything wrong with that, but its my beer we're talking about here. So, deep, rich coppery color when poured with nice floral and citrus aromatics. Medium head - superb lacing. Nicely hoppy and bitter. Good beginner IPA, although for me it seemed more on the standard pale ale side.

Excited to find singles of this offering during a recent weekend stay in the town where I grew up. A couple of hoppy glasses of beer sounded just right, unfortunately this IPA struggled to make the standard pale ale grade. Grainy, grapefruity aroma this is pleasant but a bit timid. Minor notes of evergreen and orange peel. Nice light copper pour with a frothy white head and good lacing. Soapy mouth feel, and not very bitter. Real let down considering I was paying for hops. Flavor was good for a beer, not too good for an IPA. Nutty malts with a good biscuit quality. Some floral and fruity hop notes. Need to change the label to "Ale".

The aroma is somewhat hoppy with some slight bitter with some grapefruit coming through with maybe some citrus. The appearance is somewhat light-brown to maybe orange to copper color with a decent head on top that is thin and bubbly and off-white in color. The mouthfeel is light-bodied and crisp with nice hoppy complexity with pretty good balance with a pallet that is not too bad. The flavor is pretty bitter with nice hoppiness with maybe some grapefruit and citrus overtones and is crisp and refreshing with an aftertaste that is also bitter but maybe a bit watery with a finish that is crisp and slightly dry and not too bad. Overall, this is not a bad IPA and is pretty bitter and hoppy with overtones of grapefruit but seems to be lacking a bit on the hops. Nonetheless, this is a decent session brew with good drinkability. Even across the board here and nothing special; it just tastes mass-produced

Bottle (22oz), Knightly Spirits. Pour was typical for the style, a little more amber-reddish, perhaps, foamy off-white head, lots of lacing. The aroma was tea bags, caramel, citrus rinds, some oranges. The flavor was tea bags, brown sugar, orange and citrus, melon-bready finish. Not a good concoction, as these brown-sugary tea-bagged IPAs don't do it for me. Mouthfeel was moderate, carbonated.
