This beer pours with a brilliantly clear, bright gold, copper tinged color. It is toped by a two finger thick, pale, white colored head. The nose has enticing aromas of citrus, grass, fruity malt (apple, pear and green raisin), and an earthy spice character that is almost coriander like. The orange and coriander note are very noticeable, yet not overwhelming; I am actually surprised that these are not listed in the ingredient list.
This beer is somewhat sweet, with sweet malt notes of honey and sweet grain. This quite herbal as well, with a nice hoppiness of lemon grass, light basil and a touch of menthol / hay. Very clean tasting, this seems to have been overly filtered, which is a bit disappointing. The beer finishes with a fairly solid bitterness as well as that menthol like note & a spicy orange zest character. Fairly light bodied, though perhaps not nearly as much as I would like for a proper Saison, but it does hit that nice quaffable character that a decent one needs.
This is quite good and tasty, but I fell like it could be so much more. A bit more depth and a bit more complexity would go a long way here. -

I'm usually a little disappointed with Bison, but this one was good. The farmhouse ale had a light crisp taste with a nice earthy hops. It poured an orangey yellow with a massive white head. I had low expectations for this one and was pleasantly surprised.

Tasting from bottle in Orlando, courtesy the ever so hospitable boboski. Poured a hazy golden color, nice initial head, lacing only ok, decent but not overwhelming start. The aroma was bananas, cloves, very hefeweizen-like if I hadn't read the "farmhouse" label. Flavor, though, was distinctively not a hefeweizen, although retaining some light bananas and cloves under a nice sharp spicing, light pepper, yeastiness (some bready and earthy type yeast character), with a very refreshing, crisp, light mildly citrusy finish. Not as funky as many a saison, and "refreshing" might be the best word to describe this one. Could very well be a fine high end summer beer if it were that available. A big huge thanks to Jason for sharing this one, glassware and all.

This saison pours an orange gold color from a 50cl swing top bottle. Large sized off-white foamy head. Aroma is herbal, bready and yeasty, some spices, orange peel and pepper. A medium bodied saison. Malts are cookie, caramel and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Lively carbonation. This is an interesting saison, lots of spiciness in the aroma, but not a lot in the flavor. Kind of Belgian in nature, without the bubblegum, banana and clove flavors that one would expect. Nice beer, Very Drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and sweet. Aftertaste is sweet.

I've always been a bit disappointed by Bison. While their beers aren't horrible, they've never been outstanding IMO. This beer has a chance to change that. A very peppery nose, slight bit of lemon and a little dirt (earthyness if you will). The pour is a hazy yellow with a nice frothy head. It was a clean, crisp feel in the mouth, perhaps a bit thin but nothing to dislike about it. The flavors in this was really nice with spices, sourness, sweetness and the bitters all melding very, very nicely here. This is an excellent beer to begin someone on who might have never tried a saison before. Even better that the beer is an American made saison.
