33cl green glass bottle pours with a crystal clear gold that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up sugary pilsener malts, some table sugar and then a faint semblance of sweetness enhanced floral hops. The taste delivers a bit of carbonation enhanced prickly bite along with a vague Noble Hop-ish hop bitterness that tries to contain the sweet pils maltiness. There’s drinkability here but not sure I’ll seek out another one.

Categorized here as a pale lager, but says pilsner on the bottle which is a better description. Sampled while on vacation here in Indonesia. It's drinkable, semi-clean, with not that much of a metallic or rusty flavor. Besides that, not much going on here. Owned by Heineken, but not quite as good as that. I liked their lemon and grapefruit shandys better.

Golden yellow with white foam head, quickly dissapearing. Some smell of coal, not too bitter, some earth tones. Bit high carbonated. Our former colony should know better. (Arnhem, 201112)

330 ml can, a gift from my Indonesian-born sister-in-law. ABV is 5%. Pale yellow colour, decent head. Typical "Industrial" and sweetish pale lager aroma, notes of maize and/or other adjuncts. The flavour is far too sweet for a "pilsener", but there is at least a certain maltiness and not too many off-flavours. Very moderate hops in the finish, slightly metallic.

Bottled. Yellow/golden colour, small white head. Weak skunked hops in aroma. Watery and a bit hoppy. Bitter aftertaste. Quite unplesant.

Poured forth with a yellow color and a head somewhere between a bubble bath and dish soap - very loose, very large bubbles. Aroma was lightly malty and strongly skunked. Mouthfeel was flat and the body was very thin. Sweet malt flavoring was just enough to overpower the water and there was no aftertaste. If you must drink Indonesian beer stick with Bali Hai.

Bottle. Pale gold with a slim white head. Sweetish, malty, lightly hoppy aroma. Light bodied, moderatley carbonated. Not much taste, but there is a little bit, sweetish, dryish. There are worse.

clear pale golden colour with a little foam and no lace, deep aroma of wet paperboard, sweet and watery with a long plastic-like finish - this is undrinkable

easy to drink but lacks the favour of a proper pilsener
