I've got a Chimay Grand Reserve (nothing rare) that's 2 and a half years old. When should I drink it ?

I can't elaborate on this beer too much, as I would just be repeating other reviews. Deep ruby colour, tanned solid head that stayed throughout, oily with a warm bitterness, warming and slightly sweet. It is a great night cap, served as warm as you want, put me to a very pleasant smiling sleep.

looked unreal out of the bottle, thick creamy head with great brown colours, even red. smelled like toast, slightly sweet. the mouth feel was what a oktoberfest bier should be, fizzy but ultimately easily drinkable. the best marzen ive had.

fantastic looking bottle. don't know why, but i kept it to put with my other favourites. full, good carbonation for a bock (low), slightly smokey but sweet and creamy. no hesitation in buying it again.

The appearance let it down, not holding a good head. Cloudy and rusty but not unattractive. Smelled a little bit like when my home brew works, but the taste (the most important of course) was great. Toasty, bitter and knowing it's organic probably favoured it in the back of my mind. A very good organic beer.

a great beer. dark and inviting, great malt flavours and slightly burnt fruit. a typical daleside beer, who have weird packaging for straight forward beers. i had two, such was its pull.
