A distinctly drinkable Pale Ale brewed with a touch of rye and a blend of 5 hops. Deep copper in color with a sublte spicy rye character and an enjoyable hoppy flavor.

Taps clear topaz with a fair ivory head. Aroma yields fresh malt and a little resiny hops. Much bolder flavor presents piney hops, fresh malt, a hint of citrus. Texture offers fair body and fizz. Not the best IPA out there, but number it among those worthy of at least a snort.

Ram Restaurant. Opaque orange, no foam reamaining after initial off-white foam ring. Small aroma, nice bittersweet taste, lasting bitter in aftertaste. (Chicago 201510)

Finally, my last beer review to add from the Oregon Garden Brewfest last month. This was the first beer I tried at the event. Hazy amber color with a little white head. Mild pine and citrus aroma. Medium bodied. I found it pretty unexciting, but I suppose I think that about many pale ales.

a nice pale ale. understated aroma, but a super nice flavor. spicy hops and just enough malt to bring about a nice balanced session beer. i'd have this again.

Sampled 12-28-09 in Tacoma. An all-around solid performing Pale Ale. Nice head, nice lacing and really nice balance of hops and malt. A slight - ever so slight - citrus flavor complements that package quite well. A worthy brew.
