Spelt Beer Blonde d’Épeautre is a clear, bright golden ale tending to orange. Its fine bubbles create a moderate effervescence. An aroma of grains and spices (cloves) is accompanied by hints of banana and grapefruit. This blond offers a fruity taste of sweet, spicy cereals, with only the slightest of bitterness developing with time. This is a complex well-bodied beer with a lasting mouth-feel highlighted by the hint of peppery spices.

Bottle: poured a light, clear gold into my tulip...fluffy cap..good lace...understated nose: spicey, sweet malts some mustiness. Spritzy mouth feel... sweet malts mingle with hints of cloves, banana, with a grapefruit tone in the finish as the hops turn the fruity tastes to citrus...clean finish. Light bodied... this is a very quaffable fruity ale with some spice notes...very nice.

Bottle: Poured a golden colored ale with a medium head with very little retention. Aroma is sweet and floral-like hops have been generously been added. Taste is quite refreshing with the sweet and floral aspect of the malt dominating and the hops providing just enough character at the end. I thought this was a good session-type pale ale but would have never guess this was a Belgian ale without looking at the description..
