Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is dark dry fruits, toffee, mild sour wooden notes. Flavour is sweet malts, ashes, some sour wood, leather and toffee.

Bottle, ABV 5.5%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Dark brown colour, big to moderate tan head. Sourish funky aroma and flavour, notes of barnyard. Did not impress me much.

Pours out in a hazy ruby brown colour with a rich lively off-white foam. Tart fruity aroma of black cherries, black currant and oak. Medium-bodied with notes of tart cherries, wild raspberries, oak, anise and black currant. Bold finish of black currant and oak. Really odd but also really fascinating and tasty Porter...
