This is a classic example of a Robust Porter. It is a ruby-hued black beer with a predominant roast malt flavor. The addition of black malt adds an underlying dryness which balances the sweetness of the crystal malts. If you love big beers this is one not to miss!

Served on Tap at the Bend Brewery..in Bend Oregon. Nice dark brown colour..almost black.Large an lasting creamy tan head. the aroma is subdued but pleasant..mostly of chocoalte malts. Nice taste very smooth woth loads of dark chocolate flavour.Esspresso coffee too..nice. Very smooth and creamy on the palte..very good. A very drinkable porter.I enjoyed this one.
