Wheaty, orangy, mild flavor. Not my favorite style of beer so for me to say I thought it was pretty good is saying something I guess. Yeast sediment was pretty thick, if one was inclined I suppose you could reuse the yeast pretty easily.

Sampled on 5/7/2009. This wheat wine pours a slightly cloudy orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head with nice retention. The aroma is orange, orange peel, cereal, coriander, honey and some spices. A medium bodied wheat wine/Imperial Wit. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. Kind of estery. Hops are earthy. Very smooth tasting. Perhaps a touch of funk. Hides the alcohol very well. Interesting beer. The spices are an interesting mix and the flavor balance changes with each sip. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, alcohol, nectar and some wood. Flavour is hops, fruits and some mild notes of nectar and wood. Also some slight alcoholic sweetness. As it warms up the wheat gets stronger. Rather wellbalanced imperial wit, or wheatwine.

Oh my, there's a lot going on with this unique, complex version of what usually is a rather simple style. Pours a cloudy deep toffee-tinged golden color with a thin bubbly white head. Powerful rich aroma of wheat, citrus and spice. Full smooth palate with complex flavors of mixed spice - coriander and pepper - and assertive fruit, not just citrus but apricot and grapes; floral-sweet honey, robust malt and gentle but pronounced yeast. Long, rolling bittersweet dry finish where the alcohol first makes a warming appearance. Absolutely outstanding. MUSIC: 'The Bell' by Sons & Daughters

Bottle courtesy of CBA: Poured a dirty hazy beige color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma is dominated by coriander and orange peels notes and is very enjoyable. Taste is a heavy mix of orange peels, coriander and huge wheat malt notes with some medium sweetness. Body is full with some limited filtration and some great carbonation and alcohol was not apparent at all. Very well done and another fine beer form this great brewery.

THIs beer poured with an opaque orange to copper colored boddy topped off by a frothy, thick light khaki colored head that left a small amount of lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma is spipcy with some sweet fruityness of banana and apricot. The mouthfeel was very interesting, medium to full bodied slightly creamy and very expansive in the mouth. The flavor has lots of spicy flavors of clove, orange peel, corriander, some light peppery tones, also some nice wheat and fruity flavors of orange and banana. An interesting beer worth giving a shot if you see it anywhere.

Pours with a lightly hazy, bright amber hue before the sediment ends up in the glass. With the sediment the beer is quite hazy, really opaque even, but somehow has an orangish hue on top of the amber color. It is initially topped by a frothy, two-finger thick, light amber tinged head that only has a medium level of staying power to it. The aroma is definitely driven by spice notes; earthy coriander, hay, orange zest, spicy ginger and perhaps some peppery notes. The orange zest & sweet grain character contributes aromas reminiscent of orange-spice cookies or perhaps even orange-cream candies.
Medium bodied, yet still fairly drinkable, enough residual malt allows the beer to stick to the palate after the beer has left my mouth. The residual coating leaves flavors of orange zest, dusty malt and an astringent, quite earthy, spice character that is presumable from the coriander, but probably also has a lot to do with the yeast. Up front this beer is balanced towards the sweet side of things; this accentuates an orange cream character as well as some honey like malt notes. This sweetness is quickly balanced by a dry, sharp finish that has the before mentioned yeast / coriander note as well as some lingering hop bitterness. The sediment adds a yeast flavor to the beer that adds a raw, dough-like quality and perhaps adds a bit more body as well. The finish almost has a sort of vegetal character to it, though I can’t say that it is necessarily detracting. A touch of white pepper-like spiciness add a welcoming note towards the end of each sip.
As the beer warms up a bit and loses its initial zippy carbonation, it begins to feel a bit more creamy on the tongue. This is definitely a nice beer, really it is a nice change of pace from the other X-thousand batches I have had. I can see how this would not be nearly as popular as some of the others, but I am quite happy to be able to sample one (thanks Craig). -

From a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow/gold with a decent white head. Aroma of coriander and some citrus. Flavor of oranges and coriander as well. Very slight alcohol flavor to it. Good beer overall.

Bottle. Poured a hazy, orangish-golden color with a ton of sediment and a light white head. Slight lacing. Aroma of coriander and clove, with a bit of banana. Mouthfeel is nice. Flavor is pretty complex. Starts out with a nice blend of coriander and orange peel, with a banana aftertaste. Not a beer I normally would like, but this is nice.
