Collaborating witrh Beer Writer and Certified Cicerone Jordan St. John we took a step back in time to focus on a simple style that has a huge influence on beer today. St. John Marzen is an exercise in restraint , interpreting a classic Oktoberfest beer style. Four varieties of Hallertau hops give it depth without huge bitterness. Jordan recommends drinking it out of a really large mug. Extremely clean malt flavours show off old world lager innovation in a smooth cleansing beer that was first brewed in Germany in 1840.

So, this is what a 4 day old beer tastes like. The beer pours a translucent golden copper colour with a thin white head. Aroma is yeast, grains, and some hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is toasty grains, hops, and a slight hint of caramel. Very drinkable
