Bottle. Colour - clear metallic gold colour, plenty of effervescence, half inch white bubbly cap, some lacing. Aroma - stale cereal grains, grass, earthy hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated, very crisp for a lager with this kind of availablility. Flavour - malty but on the sweet side and the bitter hop finish doesn't quite balance it out.

Pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Crisp, malty aroma is typical though pleasing. Malty flavor is about what one expects from a standard lager. Fizzy mouthfeel features average viscosity. Fine for a party.

I have tries it a few times and each time it has that skunky smell no matter weather from bottle or a tap.It has a thin head when poured into a glass.

I can recall that growing up during the 70s, that people considered this 'the best beer in the world'. I can recall first tasting it during the late 70s and thinking it was so much better than a Molson Export or Canadian or a Labatt Blue or 50. Today, I would take any one of those beers over a Beck's. Everything is typical of a North AMerican pale lager from the pale gold colour, to the phenol aromas, to the corny taste. Nothing to make it premium any more.

Seems to have just a bit of a bite for being a pale lager. Not much in the way of taste but then not many pale lagers do. Okay to drink while having a meal. But not to much in the way of enjoyment by itself.

Just like those German beers, although this one is very pale. Looks like color has fainted. Bitter taste is good, foam is good. Short bitter aftertaste.

pours clear golden, little shunkie smell. This is typical of the German mainstream beers. Unlike other German beers best served cold which does make it refreshing.

Poured yellow clear with strong white head-moderate retained-slight efference-light lacing aroma a bit hoppy less malt- Mouth clean but thin -flavor slightly bitter and slight bitter after. Again one of those ok to drink here in the tropics any day as its *always* hot & mostly humid -

This is the only thing that is halfway decent on an international airplane ride, other than that you should never drink it. very pale, very stale and grassy, very skunky and not much else.

Becks... underrated?? I'm not sure. I'm not a huge fan of Becks. I have never drank it in an other way than from the bottle and the bottle looks ok. The beer itself has limey notes that makes it fresh. Nice for a hot summer day during a barbeque. Becks is a fresh beer, but certainly not my first choiche
