Spirited and strong to drink with an original wort of about 18%, very tasty and very popular, but only for Pentecost in the bottle and keg available.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5

500 ml capped bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Becher Bräu Seidla a light gushing, crystal clear and mahogany-amber coloured F B with a two fingers light beige and soapy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is pronounced caramel malts, biscuits, candy sugar, faint grassy hops and a barnyard touch. The flavour is massive caramel malts, biscuits, candy and brown sugar, grainy and dried fruits, nuts. The mouthfeel is crispy, prickly and sticky. This light to medium bodied F B has a dry sugary and sticky finish. A Festbier is not necessarily a sugary bomb. This Becher Bräu Volksfestbier is by far too sugary for me. I am unhappy and disappointed.
